The Problem
The Breakfast Club recognized the need to drive mainstream inclusion in web3 technology and culture. However, as a young organization, they lacked expertise to make this vision a reality at NFT.NYC, the premier web3 conference. They approached us to collaborate on an event at NFT.NYC that would catalyze greater diversity and participation in blockchain.
The Idea
To address The Breakfast Club's goals, we devised an invite-only brunch gathering diverse leaders during NFT.NYC. Our idea was to facilitate open dialogue, relationship building, and education around diversity and inclusion through thoughtful programming and impactful connections. We would co-create an event to inspire marginalized groups to shape blockchain's future.
What We Did
We collaborated closely with The Breakfast Club to produce an inaugural web3 brunch event at NFT.NYC, attracting 75-100 diverse attendees. Leveraging our networks and expertise, we secured influential participants and created panels on barriers in web3 led by speaker Ros Gold-Onwude.
We facilitated impactful networking through purposeful seating arrangements that connected attendees across sectors. Our team produced gift bags with exclusive NFT.NYC incentives. The programming flow drove an open dialogue around diversity and inclusion in the heart of the biggest web3 conference worldwide.
The Results
As hired partners, we successfully executed a brunch that catalyzed mainstream participation in web3, exceeding The Breakfast Club's goals.
Notable results included:
75-100 diverse attendees from business, tech, media
Insightful panels on opportunities in web3
New relationships forged between web3 leaders and marginalized groups
Inspired attendees to champion an equitable blockchain landscape
This collaborative event built momentum towards greater diversity in blockchain's future by facilitating the connections and conversations needed to drive change at NFT.NYC
